Thanks and Apologies!

Thanks so much for all the great comments and views of the blog, as you can see I haven't updated it in a long time, got caught up with a lot of other things in my life and it was only recently that someone told me the links on the blog aren't actually working (don't know for how long they haven't been working) so big apologies for that. Over the next few weeks I will be attempting to correct the links to the downloads, seems that Mediafire must have changed the links at some point in time but the files are still there on my mediafire account so no fear, i will be correcting all the download links soon! Will put another post up here when they are all officially fixed.

Tracklisting for 23rd July to 6th August 1992

There's definitely more than a hint of the melodic or more 'intelligent' techno on this session with some real classics from Redcell, Reload, Underground Resistance, Jim Clarke, Mid-Ex and Krispy Krouton, it seems it was quite a good summer for techno. The last track on Side One is also a track i've loved for a very long time, way ahead of its time and, again, very much of the 'intelligent' vibe, if anyone knows what that is then let me know.

Thanks to spa5tik0lonz for identifying track 2 on side 1!

Thanks goes to Teknonutter, mayday, spa5tik0lonz and Twin-X over at the discogs forums for helping fill in some of the gaps recently!

Tracklisting for 23rd June to 2nd July 1992

This is another session containing a mixture of acid house, techno and hardcore. Some of the better tracks to look out for are (in my opinion) the more intelligent techno in this lot, like P.I.P. "Energize", R.E.C "Twisted Topics" and DJ Dusk's "Chique". Also the classic first release on Kudos Records by the unknown artists calling themselves Industry Standard (still wondering who this might be all these years later), a really hard sound, still sounds amazing. Not forgetting classic Model 500 track "Night Drive" on here as well. (and thanks to spa5tik0lonz for ID'ing the 2nd track on Side 1)

Tracklisting for 4th June 1992 to 23rd June 1992

In this session there are some real gems, not only some classic techno (including the extraordinary and influential track "Catastrophe" by Instinct, with its twisted acid bassline and mind-boggling sounds, it sounded so futuristic and was so ahead of its time) but some even more classic acid house from artists like The Creator and Baby Ford due to Steve Jackson standing in for Colin Dale one night. Side one is filled with gorgeous techno, including tracks by Jessie Deep and Jay Endz In Paradize. This is a great session indeed.

Tracklisting for March 17th 1992 to April 16th 1992

There's some great techno on this session mixed in with some piano hardcore stuff, some tracks I can't identify as usual (so any help gratefully received). Stuff on here includes a slammin' techno track by Humanoids From The Deep, a strange but good remix of Stakker Humanoid, some classic weird Djax leftfield stuff and ending with one of the true classic detroit techno tracks...

(thanks to an anonymous person for locating which Choci tune is in this session)

Tracklisting for February 10th 1992 to March 16th 1992

Lots of gaps in the info on this one, if anyone has any ideas at all on the names / artists or labels of the gaps I'd be very grateful. Some great techno on this one, some nice Sven Van Hees related stuff, a classic leftfield techno track by Terrace and the almighty releases by Greyhouse and Major Malfunction (check the Dune samples) make this a well good one.

Tracklisting for October 21st 1991 to November 12th 1991

Some great tracks on this one, including the epic "Digeridoo" by Aphex Twin which was sent into Colin Faver's show by RDJ as a demo for his "Demo DAT Pressure" section. Soon after this Colin's Rabbit City Records label helped push that track out further than its minimal original release on Mighty Force Records had managed. Still trying to work out which F.U.S.E. track is on Side 2 on this tape, I recognise it but can't pin it down but it definitely sounds like Hawtin, might be under his Circuit Breaker alias possibly. First track is an interesting ragga hardcore tune which I can't identify yet either.

Note : worked out which Hawtin track it was now, yes it's a Circuit Breaker track.

Note 2 : Thanks to the man .gas for naming the first track on Side One

Note 3 : Thanks to Spa5tik0lonz for naming the Crowd Control track on Side Two (actually by Jack Smooth)
